No tax dollars should be used to experiment on stem cells taken from human embryos. Experimenting on human life and causing their destruction in so doing is unethical. If an intruder to your house is threatening the life of your children, you have a plausible argument for ethical responsibility.    Man has already interfered with the natural order by conducting genetic engineering to our crops. say that embryonic stem cells couldn't possibly work as well as adult stem cells. That is morally reprehensible to me, and would not be in the best interests of our society. If that is the case, there is no death involved and I wouldn't be opposed. Rather, they should be considered for adoption in cases where the natural fertilization process is not a possibility. I am greatly opposed to any use of stem cells taken from human embryos that supposedly are "leftover" from in vitro fertilization. In these guidelines, the NIH has demonstrated its capacity to formulate a research framework that will unleash the potential of embryonic stem cell research while maintaining the highest safety and ethical standards. Although accurate when originally released, they may now contain out-of-date information, including broken hyperlinks. The second and most important reason for opposing federal funding of embryonic stem cell research is that destroying embryos is an affront to God because it terminates a life. Furthering embryonic stem cell research is only a destruction of life, and serves to only murder someone who would have a chance to become a human, a citizen, a creation of God. I hope the Bush provisions will not be overturned. Expanding funding for human embryonic stem cell reaearch will divert federal funding away from promising research treating people now with adult cells and divert funds away from other sources of embryonic s like stem cells that have not come from destroying human embryos. There are so many ways to research and use stem cells without having to use embryo cells.I feel that this is a terrible thing to do---destroying human life. Other stem cell research has been proven to work so consider using my tax dollars for that. I adamantly oppose the use of federal funds for research on human embryonic stem cells. these are tiny humans with there own dna and genes,they are not just cells. Never should man's decisions subvert God's choice to make and sustain life. I do not want my tax money used for this, if they want to do it let them support it themselves. I do not want my tax dollars to experiment on stem cells taken from human embryos that supposedly are "leftover" from in vitro fertilization. An embyro is a human being and deserves the same rights as humans that have been born. already succesful stem cell research exists using placental tissue. There are people willing to adopt these embryos and let the creator of all life determine whether that life were to reach maturity. There was a clear separation between the prospective donor(s)'s decision to create human embryos for reproductive purposes and the prospective donor(s)'s decision to donate human embryos for research purposes. I urge the NIH to do the right thing and the wise thing in setting out tese guidlines.
I disagree with conducting stem cell research. Their is a product on the market now that you can take that increases your own adult stem cells without anything leaving a body and having to be placed in a petri dish or taking from an infant or it's cord. It is murder - plain and simple. Why don't these guidelines promote the adoption of these human embryos, instead of requiring their death? I am very much against using human embryos for stem cell research or any other research. Do NOT allow this travisty to continue. The purpose of these draft Guidelines is to implement Executive Order 13505, issued on March 9, 2009, as it pertains to extramural NIH- funded research, to establish policy and procedures under which NIH will fund research in this area, and to help ensure that NIH-funded research in this area is ethically responsible, scientifically worthy, and conducted in accordance with applicable law. We oppose this legislation for many reasons but the predominate one is that it goes against our belief in life. Why must we continue to throw money away instead of promoting the Adult Stem Cell Research and even the IsP research where they are already having results. Someone has determined that decision is not above their pay grade. Choose to use federal tax dollars for helping the children. I would like to comment on this passage specifically. Public money should not be used to support someone's ego by playing God. I suggest that NIH not use federal funds for this research. Research on these stem cell lines should be eligible for federal funding so that scientists can maximize the scientific advancements already achieved through research on these lines. Our Constitution states plainly that we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights and the first of these is the right to life. "WHAT YOU DO TO THE LEAST OF MY BROTHERS YOU DO TO ME" YOUR FRIEND FOR LIFE VALUES.

The lack of respect for human life in this country is leading us to a loss of human dignity. Our alternatives are superiour choices. It is clear, however, that the more knowledge we gain about embryonic stem cells, the better we can assess the full therapeutic potential of all stem cell sources. These lives, as soon as they are fertilized, are not "owned" by the parents or by the government, but by our Creator. If you were really interested in this, you would have known about it and how it works. These things are being justified in much the same way the Germans justified killing what they thought were unworthy people. In these guidelines, the NIH has demonstrated its capacity to formulate a research framework that will unleash the potential of embryonic stem cell research while maintaining the highest safety and ethical standards. . It is unfair that my tax dollars would go to the killing of embryonic humans. I oppose the use of federal funds fvor research on embryonic stem research. We are commenting on the draft that the NIH wrote regarding fund distribution for research on human embryonic stem cells. In fact, human life is continuously moving from stage to stage of viability and beauty. The end DOES NOT justifies the means. The Administration’s Executive Order on stem cell research restored scientific decision-making to its rightful place at the NIH. Furthermore, this policy assumes that one class of life (namely adults) is categorically more important than another class of life (humans in an embryonic state). It is not a death sentence, but a "life sentence with no parole."   

It would be appauling to create life just to destroy it. As a biology teacher I try to keep up with the latest technology and procedures in the realm of my subject. The implicit implication of experimenting on human embroys is that those individuals are expendable and not guaranteed the basic freedoms our constitution grants us. We DO NOT want our tax dollars used to fund this research...it's playing God with human life and it is WRONG! It will only bring more death to our nation's wombs. God will hold you accountable. I understand that the "may" be unlocked opportunities in ESCR, but we already "have" unlocked many secrets from Adult Stem Cells! Internal NIH procedures, consistent with Executive Order 13505 and these Guidelines, will govern the conduct of intramural NIH research involving human stem cells. There have not been any discoveries made from using embryonic stem cells.
